Celebrity Adoptions: Increased Numbers a Trend?
As America’s fascination with the Brangelina continues, we are happy to report that the adoption of Pax Thien by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie became final, as of Thursday, Feb. 21st. Jolie received custody of Pax nearly one year ago when she took him from an orphanage in Vietnam.
Brad and Angelina are no doubt Hollywood’s most famous adoptive parents and it seems as though that the spotlight on their recent adoptions (three foreign children total) has generated an adoption trend among celebrities, namely single women.  But is it really all a fad? Celebrities have been adopting for years and only recently has such an intense focus been on celebrity adoptions, primarily because Brad and Angelina are arguably the most famous couple in the world and Madonna’s questionably fast adoption of a child from the African country of Malawi.
The truth remains there are a myriad of famous adoptive parents….while I don’t have an exact number, here are a few that I know of, some of which may surprise you.
