I Am In the Wrong Industry!
It is estimated that by the year 2014, the commercial transportation industry will have a shortage of truck drivers that exceeds 111,000.  Obviously a major limitation and constraint for the trucking industry when economic demand is predicted to only increase substantially.  Â
Which is why trucking companies are trying to find new and innovative ways to tap into a new labor pool, recruit new drivers, and increase wages. In fact, the average hourly rate for a general freight trucker is $17.56 – which is more than I earn after four years of business school! Anyone up for truck driving job?
