More, More, and Still More
I apologize in advance. I am seriously addicted to finding strange statistics. But I hope that you find them as interesting as I do.
Woman’s World Magazine has found that the average person will spend 1.2 years on hold. Yikes! Now, that is a long time. Imagine sitting that long while listening to complete silence on the other end? Since the average person waits that long on hold, I hope the company has a creative hold message.
Of all the surfaces in an office, the toilet is the cleanest because they are cleaned so often. Phones and keyboards are infested with 10,000 - 100,000 bacteria per square inch. Ick! I think I am going to start cleaning my desk area every day. As a germaphob, that made my stomach churn.
This one is just mind boggling: It is estimated that 3 million Italians will pretend to go on a vacation each year, when in reality they are at a family or friend’s house in a neighboring town, or hiding in their own house for a few weeks…all for social pretenses. This just seems silly. I am part Italian…I wonder if that runs in my blood!
Americans spend about 4.5 billion hours each year stuck in traffic. Ugh! I can definitely see how this is possible, especially with me being from California.
20% of all car accidents in Sweden involve a moose. Ha! That’s weird.
Strange stuff. Be assured; I will be back once I find some more strange numbers to add to my ongoing list.
